Registration is open until Thursday Sept. 16/26 end of business day (5pm)
The winning entry will receive bragging rights and a $50 prize.
The 16 and Under winning entry will receive a $25 prize.
Art should be dropped off upstairs at the Sicamous Legion between 2 and 4 p.m. on Thursday September
17th and picked up at the same location on Sunday September 20th between 4 and 5 p.m.
Art Contest Entry Rules
Accepted Mediums:
Painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media)
Drawings (graphite, ink, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil)
Textiles (fiber art, fabric-based works, mixed media with textile focus)
Size & Weight Restrictions:
Paintings & Drawings: Maximum size of 18″ x 24″ including any framing.
Textiles: Maximum size of 10″ x 12″ and must not exceed 4 lbs in weight.
Presentation Requirements:
All artwork must be ready to display upon submission. This includes:
A secure hanging system (e.g. D-rings, wire, or sawtooth hangers attached to the back).
Framed or mounted as appropriate to the medium (unframed work must be on sturdy backing).
Clearly labeled on the back with the artist’s name, artwork title, medium, and contact information.
No wet or tacky paint will be accepted—works must be fully dry.
No glass in frames (acrylic/plexiglass allowed for safety and ease of handling).
Original works only
The Sicamous Fungi Festival and the Eagle Valley Arts Council will not be responsible for stolen or
damaged art, but all reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure its safety.
