Plan is for transportation to be included, but there may need to be some car pooling if we have extra participants.

*If you would like to attend that day’s tour but have not yet registered please arrive at the Curling Club at or just after 9am, to give you enough time to register, ensure all information is listed for our Guides.  Registrations the day of the tour will not have a lunch included.

Also, we cannot guarantee there will be room on the tour. Friday and Saturday tours often fill up the fastest.

Expert Mushroom Guides will lead each tour offering education, advice, identification, answering questions and there will be a bonus stop to view the Salmon Run.

You will be able to hunt your own wild mushrooms and have them identified.

Lunch is included with advance registration. Sandwich, bottled water, and snack.

*Please let the Fungi Festival know if you have any dietary concerns (ie, you are vegan or have food allergies) in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Don’t forget to wear good shoes, bring a  whistle (for forest communication), a basket or paper bag for collecting, and a mushroom knife and brush , if you like (a plastic disposable knife will do, and you won’t be heart-broken to lose it.  And a toothbrush works well to remove dirt and debris).  The experts will have knives and books available for sale.

When registering for an All Day Tour we will ask you to advise the guide the level of hiking difficulty you are comfortable with and we will attempt to accommodate everyone within the group.  This information helps organizers to plan the tour.  If you prefer something not too taxing, the walking tour of Sicamous is flat and pleasant.
