FRIDAY SCHEDULE
The Fungi Art Contest submissions will be on display Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon – participant form link is on the registration page and the Timeless Painting Club Art and Crafts Show will be at the Red Barn Friday and Saturday from 10 to 4 each day.
Friday Sept 18 to Sunday Sept 20 Legion Upstairs (entrance is at the back of the building) All weekend there will be: Displays, presentations and mushroom soup by donation. Access to displays is free. Bring your specimens for identification.
9:30 am Friday long walk meets upstairs at the Legion and departs at 10am.
1 to 3 pm Paul will lead the short walk. Participants will meet at the Legion and will car pool to yard creek or take the walkway to the Sicamous Beach Park / Nature Trail, depending on numbers and group preferences.

4 pm “A World of Wonder Beneath Your Feet” Paul Kroeger free presentation at Sicamous Library.
4 to 7 pm Fungi Festival Farmers’ Market with great jazz standards by Green Room. Regular Market plus mushroom themed vendors. Damn Good Eats, Samosa Man and Riri’s Bits and Bites will be serving up lots of fabulous food options with Auntie B’s Cupcakes and Nana’s Cookies.
5 pm Long Walk returns – panel discussion reviewing the days finds and topics of interest. Cash Bar open.
8 pm – Dance the rest of the night away with the Blind Bay Blues Band downstairs in the legion,

11:00 am “From Forage to Fibre” Dyeing with Fungi. A presentation on the natural dyeing process with a focus on using fungi to dye wool. Archie Archer free presentation at the Sicamous Library
1 pm “Better Left Standing: Rethinking our standards towards resource extraction and the value of our forests left standing.” Join the discussion and hear our experts share their knowledge and opinions on how we can shift our focus and analyze the facts on variable forms of capital extracted from our forests and wild spaces. Erik Hrabovsky free presentation at the Sicamous Library

SUNDAY SCHEDULE
9:00 am cooking demonstration of yummy wild mushroom scrambled eggs for long walk participants. (Others are welcome to have mushroom scrambled eggs by donation once the walkers are done.)
9:00 am to noon “From Forage to Fibre” This workshop will be held at the Red Barn and goes through the process of extracting colour and dyeing using wool and fungi. participants will take home a handout and notes of the process and small dyed samples. All supplies provided, bring an apron. Max participants 8. Cost will be $35 to cover materials. FULL
10 am “Edible Mushrooms” Panel discussion followed by departure of the long walk.
