The first annual Sicamous & Shuswap Lake Wild Mushroom & Food Festival was held in beautiful Sicamous, B.C. in 2005. Participants enjoyed identifying and picking wild mushrooms, watching evening presentations, and attending workshops.
The 21st annual Fungi Festival is September 18, 19, 20 , 2026. We guarantee you will have a memorable experience.
The Fungi Festival is dedicated to Peter Steiner. His dedication and passion for the festival carried it through 10 years of camaraderie, learning and fun. We hope the festival continues to grow and thrive as a legacy to his contribution to mushrooming and the community of Sicamous.
